Garlic at 3 weeks

I planted the garlic cloves 3 weeks ago. All have sprouted and have long shoots (or whatever you call the green things growing above ground). I may have to transplant them so each has its own pot. For now, I have moved them to a sunny window...at least, it's sunny when we get sun, such as today.

Of the herbs I bought, only the rosemary is doing well. It is reaching for the sunlight, so I have moved it closer to the window.

And of the 3 tomato halves I planted, only one is sprouting. Since I didn't really expect much, one is good. Excellent, in fact. We'll see how far it grows.

And this was a nice surprise: someone who doesn't know I have a burnt umber thumb but who knows I like to cook with herbs gave me some thyme seeds. Yay! I'll have to get some fresh potting soil (which seems scarce this time of year - neither the farmer's co-op nor Walmart has any) to get them started.
